This is gonna be short and sweet and to the point. Catching up on Immunology terms, systems, processes, and all that junk is not kind to me this week, but my mind needs a break once in a while.
This week in my seminar class we had a guest speaker giving tips on public speaking skills. During a part of his presentation about controlling the nerves he said a statement that has for some reason or another stuck with me.
You are one of only a few. You are the best at what you do. If you weren’t good at what you do, you wouldn’t be here.
That statement hit the spot and I really wanted to share it because you never know who else could use some motivation. During this first round of exams it’s pretty easy to stress over what I’m afraid I don’t know. Not fun. But he had a point. I would be here if I wasn’t good at what I do. However, I really want to contest that statement when it comes to understanding all these acronyms in Immunology. The more I learn about biological processes, the more life will never be the same. There is so much going on in those cells.
