Here it is the later half of January and winter weather is here. Every state with the exception of Florida has received snow. To top it all off, this past Monday was known as “Blue Monday” because a British Psychologist says it is the most depressing day of the year. I hope your January is going well and remember in less than 75 days, we’ll be looking at warmer weather!
As a bit of a pick-me-up, I like to look back at posts I have written over the past few years. This post from this time two years ago shows I was looking for strength in getting my start in the Spring semester. Here is a portion of that post where I reminded myself to believe in what I can accomplish. I think it serves a good purpose here too. Have a great Thursday!
Believe In What You Can Accomplish
Second Chronicles states “But as for you, be strong and do not give up, for your work will be rewarded.” We should believe in the work that we can accomplish and when those times come that drag us down and tell us that we can’t put forth our best effort, know that there is a reward for the work we do, whether it be in the classroom, workplace, or in our daily duty to live as Christians in the world around us.
One more point that I want to share is the importance of acting upon what we say we will do. Hold your promise to not only others, but your self to. With out it you will not have the faith in yourself to accomplish what you are capable of doing. Have faith in yourself and act upon it.
“Faith by itself, if not accompanied by action, is dead. Show me your Faith without deeds, and I will show you my Faith by what I do. As the body without the spirit is dead, so Faith without deeds is dead.” James 2: 17-18, 26
