We have been pretty lucky this week in Arkansas. After being in the high 90s and 100s since May, we never even reached 80 degrees on Thursday as rain fell throughout much of the day. Almost two inches by the time I headed to the house! Of course I started the day by waking to heavy lightning at 5 and promptly realized I left the windows down on the pickup. He who leaves the truck windows down in the rain, gets a wet butt.

It’s been so long since we’ve had a decent rain that I’ve caught myself staring at the storm clouds this week. Here’s a few shots from the ranch.

However much rain we get this week, we still need more, and still are not as dry as our neighbors to the South and West. Here’s praying for sufficient rain for drought stricken farmers and ranchers.
