I woke up this morning with a conversation on my mind from a presentation earlier this year. So I'll share a piece of it today. Think about how your interactions build (or tear down) your personal brand.
My blogging in 2014 = sucks. Life and work have been crazy busy, but in a good kind of exhausting way. I traveled much of December, January, and February, then it got really cold with a lot of snow. Now that we're moving into Spring, the snow sticks around for shorter periods of time, the … Continue reading 5 Things: Food On My Mind and ‘Type A’ Personality Problems
Finally, we get a decent snow on the ground here in Helena. There's been a good 12-18" of snow during the past week, most of it still on the ground, what hasn't blown off. We're supposed to reach close to freezing tomorrow before another 6-10" hits us with temps dropping 20-25 below zero. And oddly … Continue reading Snow has definitely arrived in Helena
Where I'm at in the Helena Valley, I can't really see sunsets because I'm so close to the mountains to the west. But a view to the east is often filled with all sorts of colors that change rapidly. A few minutes and bright colors can change drastically.
I can't believe I've let a month go by and haven't updated the blog on my travels in and around Montana. (So I better catch up!) Work has definitely kept me busy and on the go. But I guess that is a good thing! In early November, I had the great opportunity to travel to … Continue reading Idaho Cattle Convention – Sun Valley, Idaho
Make sure to catch up on the first half of the #BigSkyMove drive in the previous post. Now, picking up right where I left off… The next two days’ drives would be the longest of the trip. Not necessarily by mileage, but I enjoyed the view along the way. It was cooling off and cloudy … Continue reading #BigSkyMove – Cross Country Trip – Part 2
I have quite the refreshing view only 30 minutes from my front door. Got the drive to the west of town, Flesher Pass (Elev. 6,000) in the Helena National Forest, in the books today before winter sets in. Snow already covering the north facing slopes up to the shoulder of the road. It's one of … Continue reading Flesher Pass, Helena National Forest
When was the last time you got up early enough to watch the sunrise? And, no, I don't mean peaking out your window. I mean, sitting outside, in solitude, and watching the sunrise from start to finish. From the point where the stars are bright until the last of the circle is above the horizon. … Continue reading Take time to watch the sunrise
It's finally that time! I have loaded up the pickup and I am on the way to Big Sky Country. In case you missed it earlier... I am excited to be working as a part of the team with Montana Stockgrowers Association. Tennessee is in my rear view and big horizons are up ahead. Last … Continue reading #BigSkyMove – Let the Cross-Country Road Trip Begin
I love to travel, even if it does mean riding in a small Delta puddle jumper with a grumpy flight staff. A few weeks ago, I had the really awesome opportunity to travel to Arkansas and be a judge for the 2014 National Beef Ambassador contest. I was never a participant in the program, but … Continue reading Judging the 2014 National Beef Ambassador Contest
