Reached 114* (heat index of 122*) in Little Rock yesterday. That sets the all-time historic high temperature for the city. We started this morning out at 86 which sets an all-time record warm low temperature. Is any one else crying mercy?

I was in the hot, over-heating tractor, and the air conditioner wasn’t working well. Things are going rough on the job front. But it’s okay. I’m looking toward the future, being thankful for what I have, and wondering what God has in store for me.

…But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, 14 I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus — Philippians 3:13-14

It’s pretty easy to get wrapped up in everything I don’t have, but sometimes I forget what I do have. I have my family that wants the best for me, friends that will listen to my complaints, a good horse (or 3), a dog to keep me company (and test my patience), and hope for an eternal home where there will be good horses to ride.

So while I’m baking in the heat, I think back to this past winter when it was a full 110* cooler. A lil snow right now wouldn’t be too bad. Stay cool and hydrated out there. And be Thankful for that you have.
