The AgChat Foundation is hosting a photo contest. Winning photos will appear in a 2012 calendar and the top photo will receive a trip to the 2011 AgChat Foundation Conference in Nashville in August (The weekend of my birthday!) SO if you are on Facebook, do me a favor, log on, and vote for my photo. I’ll share the link on the AgProud Facebook page. You can vote each day and word is all the top photos are separated by only a few votes, so every vote counts! Thank you ahead of time for the support and wish me luck!

A lil background on the photo. This was taken in the Big Horn Mountains of Wyoming by the greatest English friend a guy could possibly have! Thank you Katy Jane. I call it “Taking it all in” because I can literally sit and look at all the aspects of the photo and go back to that day in my mind. We were pushing pairs to fresh grass on top of the hillside. After several trips up and down the hillside we had everyone together on fresh pasture. We stopped at the water tank on top for dinner and let the horses have a rest. To our south and west we could look through the canyon and see the entire Big Horn Basin below. To our East was Cloud Peak. And to our north were countless mountain pastures as far as the eye could see. In the photo I was gazing at the clouds in the sky, noticing what looked like some Oklahoma-like rotation. Never turned into any thing but some rain. You haven’t heard it rain til you are horse back in the mountains. Nothing but the sound of rain falling on the trees, grass, and your hat brim. I was soaking wet, but could have cared less. Such an awesome and memorable day. You couldn’t even imagine. Just perfect. (Haha, so much for a brief recap!)

Anyways I could talk all day my adventures, but you best log on Facebook and vote for my photo. The link is on the AgProud page! With some luck I may end up at the AgChat conference or maybe even their 2012 Calendar. Wish me luck!
