This past weekend I took a drive through the mountains near Canon City and Salida, Colorado. The Aspens are changing colors and the mountain sides are filled with all shades of orange and yellow. Most of the cattle from summer grazing have been brought to lower pastures or hauled for winter feeding and the Peaks are starting to collect some snow. Sustaining and improving mountain rangeland is vital to rancher’s livelihood, so there is much planning and management that goes into grazing livestock on these pastures.

Enjoy these scenes of Fall from the mountains of Colorado and thank the ranchers that work so hard to maintain and improves these rangelands. Click on each photo to see a larger image.

Do you have great photos of how your operation practices rangeland and pasture management? Send them to me (agricultureproud@hotmail.com) or post them on the I am Agriculture Proud Facebook group for everyone to view and learn!
